well, the usual spots are the Art Institute, Millennium Park (and taking photos with "The Bean"), Magnificent Mile aka Michigan Ave., go to the top of the Hancock tower for drinks and a great view, Wrigley Field, Sears Tower, Navy Pier... these are all pretty standard. there should be fireworks off the lake at night - should be fun but crowded.

@Becky - Yeah, that's on my long to do list. If you're looking to make it soon, let me know. I might just type it out and email it to you for the time being. =D

@Kelly - Sure!! I'll take any recommendation you give! =)

I've been to Taste of Chicago a few times (twice, at least) and I don't think it's two-meal quality. you should consider just going there for one meal and open up another meal slot. never been to the three places on your list, but I always recommend deep dish pizza (Giordano's and Gino's East are the two big places), a Chicago hot dog, Tango Sur (Argentinean steak place, so good but not close to metro. Joy Hsu and I used to go), Orange (for brunch... YUUUM), San Soo Gab San (Korean bbq open 23 hrs - order the family deal). dim sum in Chicago is eh, not even close to Dallas or Houston, and never had ramen there. be sure to order a local brew when you're there. I like Goose Island's 312 Urban Wheat Ale, if you're into that kind of thing. do you need non-food (i.e. cool places to see) suggestions?

I've had deep dish stuffed pizza at Giordano's (http://www.giordanos.com/) before but I didn't think it was that great. I'm biased towards thin crust pizza though so you might still want to give it a go... it's pretty well reviewed if i remember correctly.

btw, i like the new look around here. glad you're back on your own domain. oh and you still owe me a paella post! :D
